Trophies can only be won or awarded to current members of the Rudge Enthusiasts Club Ltd as defined in the Rules of the Club unless specifically provided otherwise in connection with any trophy.
The same motorcycle can win the same trophy in consecutive years with the exception of the Tyrell Smith Trophy.
A motorcycle can only win one trophy but can be judged for as many awards for which it is eligible.
As the awards are given for the motorcycle, a Member with more than one machine at the Rally may receive more than one award.
Judges machines are eligible for the trophies they are judging, providing there are three judges covering the section.
In all awards the Judges decision is final and at their discretion, providing it is based on the guidelines agreed by the committee for each award.
EDITORS TROPHY - PRESENTED AT AGM
Presented to the member who has made the most valued contributions to the Club Journal over the last four issues
Nominated by the Journal Editor, endorsed by Committee.
JACK LENNON COMPETION TROPHY - PRESENTED AT AGM
Awarded to the member who has scored the most points Road Racing in VMCC events during the season riding a Rudge machine.

Awarded for the most original Rudge.
Eligibility Notes. Only “Pure” Rudges are eligible for this award.
The motorcycle entered in this category should be as unchanged as possible from the day it left the factory.
The machine specification should be visually the same as when the machine was new, with special regard to particulars such as levers, lighting etc.
Credit will be given to the degree that factory finish is still present.

TYRELL SMITH TROPHY - PRESENTED AT ANNUAL RALLY

Awarded to the member who has travelled the furthest distance to the Annual Rally on a Rudge.

BEST COMPETION RUDGE - PRESENTED AT ANNUAL RALLY

Awarded for the “Best Competition Rudge”
Eligibility Notes. Rudge machines purpose built for competition e.g. The Dirt Track Machines,T.T. Replicas and Proper Racing Machines.
Machines can be road registered.
As machines in this category are unlikely to be in current competition, they should be judged on condition and originality.

RIDERS CUP - PRESENTED AT ANNUAL RALLY
REPLICA PRESENTED AT AGM
Awarded to a Rudge ridden to the Annual Rally
Eligibility Notes. Open to non-original machines, providing the majority of their parts are of Rudge manufacture.
As with the Tyrell Smith Trophy for longest distance, it is left to the members honesty to state if they are eligible for this category.
The machine must be road legal, and carry a current Road Fund Licence.
The motorcycle need not be Concourse, or even fully original, but should look like a well ridden and well maintained machine. It should appeal to the Judges as a machine they would be happy to ride.
The winner of this trophy should be an “everyday” Rudge, one that is used and enjoyed by its owner.

Awarded for the most “Technically Interesting Rudge” at the Annual Rally.
Eligibility Notes: This should be looked on as an award for the most technically interesting Rudge.
Eligible machines could either be a recognised modification or adaptation, eg the Python Rudges. Any other make that has been fitted with an Rudge engine. One off special of which the main components are recognisably Rudge.
The standard of Engineering should be considered during the judging .

JACK GRIFFITH TROPHY - PRESENTED AT ANNUAL RALLY

Awarded to the Rudge judged as the best alternative to any class.
Note. This award is to the Rudge which is judged to be the best “Runner up“ from the classes judged, except the distance award. Presented at Rally by Jack Griffith.

It is the responsibility of the winner to add Rudge part before returning to Trophy Secretary
Note The award of a £25 voucher, redeemable on REC Spares, Regalia or Library items will be forwarded to the winner after the have written and have published in the Journal an article on the rebuild.

Awarded for: The highest combined age of rider and Rudge ridden to the Annual Rally.

BRYAN REYNOLDS TROPHY - PRESENTED AT ANNUAL RALLY
REPLICA PRESENTED AT AGM
Awarded at the Rally to a Rudge (or Python engine) machine making its first appearance at the Rally after a rebuild or restoration.
The minimum work to have been undertaken is the removal of the engine from the frame.
The machine should not have won any other award at the rally at which it receives the trophy.
The machine will not be eligible to win this trophy again within three years.
The owner can enter different machines in successive years.
The machine can be trailered or ridden to the rally but must be started up and ridden around the rally field.
The award is for the overall appearance. If there is a tie, the machine with the most original appearance to take precedence.
