MUDGUARDS

Plain inverted U section, unvalanced front, valanced rear. Rear with detachable main section.

TANKS

Petrol tank Chromium plated with lined black panels. Single central CEE-ESS type filler with front fitted petrol balance pipe. Two bolt damper arm fixing.

ENGINE

4 valve 249cc with cast iron open valve radial cylinder head, bolted to the barrel from below. 14mm central plug. Rear mounted Lucas Maglita ignition/dynamo. Oil feed to rear of cylinder.

BRAKES

Both 6 3/4”, coupled with aluminium shoes.

ELECTRICS

Lucas 7” headlamp and ST20 rear lamp. Lucas ‘Altette’ electric horn

TRANSMISSION

4 speed gearbox with foot change on LHS. Aluminium oil bath chaincase with ‘R’ on dome and separate filler on shock absorber dome.

CARBURETTER

Amal type 75/151 with Amal straight pull control.

EXHAUST SYSTEM

Twin 1 1/2” high level pipes into barrel silencers and plain tailpipes. Heat shields fitted to exhaust pipes.

STANDARD FITTINGS

80MPH speedometer. Stop light, battery cover, licence holder, 1” handlebars with solid inverted levers. Single toolbox mounted on offside of machine. Steering damper and handwheel operated fork shock absorber. Open ended ‘D’ section forks. Lycett 2B pillion pad. Pressed steel central stand.

EXTRAS

8 day clock in steering arm, pillion footrests. All black finish for petrol tank.
