RUDGE MODEL SPECIFICATION

WHEELS

WM1x21 (f), WM1x21 (r) interchangeable with black painted rims. Bolt on rear sprocket.

MUDGUARDS

Inverted 5” wide U section, both unvalanced Rear, with detachable tail section.

TANKS

Petrol/oil tank finished in black & gold. Twin external screw type fillers with front fitted petrol balance pipe. Single bolt damper arm fixing.

ENGINE

4 valve 340cc with cast iron open valve cylinder head, parallel inlet and exhaust. 18mm side plug. Rockers supported in large nuts in rocker plates bolted to the cylinder head. Forward mounted ML Maglita. Square based cylinder barrel and plain drive side crankcase. Total loss oiling with adjustable vertical ‘pump’ in timing cover. Cast alloy ‘oval’ rocker box.

BRAKE

6 3/4” front and rear, coupled with steel shoes.

ELECTRICS (OPTIONAL)

Miller 6” 64EA headlamp (with small ammeter retained by 3 screws), rear mounted switch and 34E rear lamp.

TRANSMISSION

4 speed gearbox with hand change on RHS of tank. External kickstarter stop. Steel primary cover.

CARBURETTER

Amal type 6/113 with 2 lever control (twist grip optional)

EXHAUST SYSTEM

Twin 1 1/2” low-level downpipes into Rudge ‘can’ type silencers and 6” fishtails.

STANDARD FITTINGS

Rear carrier (extra at no charge), 1” handlebars with folded type inverted levers and Rudge steering damper. Spanner adjusted fork shock absorber. Single toolbox fitted to offside of machine opposite the battery. Riveted angle and strip steel central stand. Open ended ‘D’ section forks.
